The NSL-Review on (a very late) Monday

Weekend is over, so let's have a look on what happened in the NSL since last week. Unfortunately the second Division went afk. Hence, there will be no update on Weld Mannered, caste, and co.

Division 1

Standings

The big game Chams - Do it yourself happened on Sunday. As predicted last week a winner in direct confrontation could not be determined in this all-marine-win. With no team backing down they share points on Veil and Biodome.

This means Lucky Chams can hold their top-position with a single point lead.

On the other side DIY are close to the secure second place. To potentially overtake Chams, they need to make it a 4-0 against Bad Mannered - and need some help by Pell-Mell: if PM wins a round against the Season 6 champions, DIY will have the chance to draw level.

Predictions

I am still in favour of a head-to-head race. Let's cheer for the underdog, when Pell-Mell welcomes Chams: 1-3 please.

Division 3

Standings

GIEF did not show any weaknesses and took a 4-0 victory against HMS. By this they left potaTAW to second place. It is now TAW's turn to follow and win as many rounds as possible against RadicaL.

But what is happening at the lower end of the table? This week we could see HMS against the Bubblers. For HMS this is the chance to prove themselves in Division 3. RadicaL has two more chances to collect some points, but it won't be easy: their other opponent - besides TAW - is GIEF ROBOT.

Predictions

My 4-0 prediction in favour of potaTAW against RadicaL of last week still needs confirmation. But on top of that I make a guess about the all-Russian match HMS - Bubblers: I go with a 4-0 here. Sorry, His Majesty, but this season his Ship seems to be off course.

Division 4

Standings

Is it surprising that the first teams finishing their schedule are in Division 4? Nope.

In our week 5 match TAWtoise needed a win against Flightless Lerks to qualify for the finals. Instead we lost 4-0, though.

Two games are leftover in the lowest division and both include Angry Chickens. They had a rough time so far. Their rest-program consists of the German Schicht im Schacht and the Russian Sector Plus.

Schacht has a golden opportunity, to move to the finals in second place by winning at least two rounds against the Chickens. The week 4 game between Sector Plus and the Chickens should be a game both teams can look forward to: current standings clearly hint at the skill-gap between the rest of Division 4 and the two newcomer teams.

Predictions

To be honest, I see the Russians as the stronger team here. Hence my prediction is a 3-1 in favour of Sector Plus against Angry Chickens.

What games are you looking forward to? What are your predictions?
